Return and Refund Policy
Effective Date: June 12, 2026
Right of Withdrawal
Consumers located in the European Union or United Kingdom have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without providing any reason or justification. To exercise this right, the consumer must submit a withdrawal form at https://humansweatrecords.com/pages/EU-withdrawal-form. The consumer can submit the withdrawal notice at any time during the 14-day period.
Withdrawal Process
Step 1: Submit Your Withdrawal Request
Complete the withdrawal form at https://humansweatrecords.com/pages/EU-withdrawal-form. The withdrawal notice is considered received when Human Sweat Records receives the completed form.
Step 2: Return Shipping (At Consumer's Expense)
The consumer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods to Human Sweat Records. The consumer must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days from the date of submitting the withdrawal notice. The consumer should use tracked/insured shipping and retain proof of shipment.
Step 3: Our Inspection
Once Human Sweat Records receives the returned goods, we will inspect them within 5 business days to verify:
- The item(s) are in the condition they were delivered to the consumer
- All original components and packaging are included
- There are no signs of use beyond normal inspection
Step 4: Refund Processing
We will process the consumer's refund within 14 days of receiving and approving the returned goods using the consumer's original payment method.
Important Withdrawal Conditions
Goods Must Arrive Within 30 Days: Human Sweat Records will wait up to 30 calendar days from the consumer's withdrawal notice for the returned goods to be received. If the goods are not received within this period, the withdrawal request will be cancelled, and no refund will be processed. The consumer remains responsible for the goods.
Diminished Value: If the returned goods show signs of use beyond normal inspection or testing, Human Sweat Records may reduce the refund proportionally based on the diminished value of the goods. This includes damage, heavy wear, or missing components.
Condition Upon Return: The goods must be returned in the same condition as delivered. The consumer may test the goods to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, but the consumer must not use them beyond what would be allowed in a physical retail store.
Consumer Responsibility: The consumer is responsible for the safe return of the goods, including proper packaging and tracking. We recommend using insured, tracked shipping.
What IS Eligible for Withdrawal
Most items purchased through our store can be returned under the withdrawal right, provided they:
- Are returned within the 14-day deadline from the withdrawal notice
- Arrive at our address within 30 days of the withdrawal notice
- Are in original condition with minimal signs of use
- Include all original components and packaging
What IS NOT Eligible for Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Sealed items opened by the consumer: Sealed records (vinyl) or other sealed goods that the consumer has opened after delivery
- Custom-made or personalized products: Items made to the consumer's specifications
- Rapidly perishable goods: Items with short shelf lives
- Items outside the 14-day window: Withdrawal requests submitted more than 14 days after delivery
- Refused deliveries: Orders refused by the consumer due to customs charges, import duties, VAT, brokerage fees, or any other import-related costs
Refused Deliveries Due to Customs or Import Charges
If the consumer refuses delivery due to customs charges, import duties, VAT, brokerage fees, or any other import-related costs, the consumer forfeits all statutory withdrawal rights and consumer protections. No refund will be issued.
The consumer is responsible for all costs associated with returning the refused goods to Human Sweat Records, including return shipping. The goods will be returned to sender at the carrier's discretion, with all return shipping costs charged to the consumer. Human Sweat Records will not reship goods that have been refused and returned.
The consumer's only recourse in case of disputes regarding import charges is with the customs authority or carrier, not with Human Sweat Records.
Final Sale - International Orders
All international orders are final sale once shipped, with the exception of the statutory 14-day withdrawal right under EU/UK consumer law. The consumer's withdrawal right is forfeited if the consumer refuses delivery due to any import-related charges. For customers who refuse delivery, no refund or reshipment is available under any circumstances.
Vinyl Color and Appearance Variations - Not Eligible for Return
All colored vinyl records are handmade products with natural variations. The following conditions are NOT considered defects and are NOT eligible for return, refund, or replacement:
- Color Variations: Differences in vinyl color, intensity, pattern distribution, swirl effects, or overall appearance compared to product photos. Each vinyl record is unique, and significant variations from copy to copy are normal, even within the same pressing run.
- Random and Recycled Vinyl Variants: "Random color," "mystery color," "recycled vinyl," and similar variants are sold as-is with no guarantee of specific colors or appearance. The consumer's copy may look substantially different from any photos shown.
- Pre-Order Design Changes: Changes to vinyl color, packaging design, artwork, or any other visual elements between pre-order mockups and the final manufactured product. Mockups are for visualization only and do not guarantee final product appearance.
- Product Photo Differences: Any visual differences between the received item and product photos, including but not limited to color shade, vinyl pattern, label design, or packaging appearance, provided the item plays correctly.
By purchasing colored vinyl or pre-order items, the consumer acknowledges and accepts that variations are inherent to vinyl manufacturing and agrees that such variations are not grounds for withdrawal or refund.
Pre-Order and Back-Order Cancellation Policy
Orders that include pre-order or back-order items are charged at the time of purchase. The consumer should contact us within seven (7) days of placing the order if they wish to cancel their pre-order or back-order. If the order is unshipped, we can cancel the order and offer a full refund.
Once a pre-ordered or back-ordered item has shipped, our standard withdrawal and refund policy applies. Cancellations based on design changes, color variations, or differences from mockup images are not accepted after the 7-day cancellation window.
Other Return Scenarios (Outside of Withdrawal Rights)
Outside of the statutory withdrawal right, Human Sweat Records might offer a return or refund (partial or full depending on the case) only if the item is delivered in a state where it does not operate as advertised. For vinyl records, this means poor or faulty audio quality caused by the item itself and not the player. We may require video/audio proof of the issue and pictures of any shipping package damage. No-questions refunds are not possible at this time.
Returns or refunds outside of withdrawal rights may be considered only for the following:
- Audio Defects: Poor or faulty audio quality caused by the record itself (skipping, excessive surface noise, distortion) that is verified on multiple properly functioning turntables.
- Physical Damage: Warped records that affect playback, cracked or broken vinyl, or severe damage to the packaging that occurred during shipping (photographic evidence of shipping box damage may be required).
- Wrong Item: The consumer received a completely different product than what was ordered.
Some of our products are produced in very limited quantities, so we are unfortunately unable to replace everything.
Shipping Insurance for Orders $60+
Orders with a total value of $60 USD or more (including product cost and shipping) are automatically covered by full shipping insurance. If an insured order is damaged, lost, mis-delivered, or stolen during transit, the consumer must file an insurance claim by contacting us at legal@humansweatrecords.com with:
- Order number
- Description of the issue (damage, loss, theft, etc.)
- Photo or video evidence of damage (if applicable)
- Photos of shipping box damage (if applicable)
- Any documentation from the carrier or local authorities (for theft or loss claims)
We will process insurance claims and provide replacement or refund for eligible claims. Orders under $60 are not insured and are shipped at the consumer's risk - we cannot offer replacements or refunds for damage or loss on uninsured orders.
Return Process for Defects
If the consumer believes their item qualifies for return under the eligible conditions listed above, the consumer should contact us at legal@humansweatrecords.com with:
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Photo or video evidence (required for audio defects and damage claims)
- Photos of shipping box damage (if applicable)
We will review the request and respond within 5-7 business days. Returns are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and approval is at our sole discretion.
